On June 6, the Whitespace Legal Collab launched to a packed house at our Toronto office.
Global Chair Paul Rawlinson attended the event and spoke of the Firm’s push forward as industry leaders on innovation, fostering new ways of providing solutions for our clients.
“I’ve spent a lot of time talking with clients around the world and the message is loud and clear: law firms need to adapt their way of working to better suit the client needs,” Paul said. “We’re going to do that by having a much stronger industry focus, a stronger focus on our relationships with partners and coming back to the office with new ideas to co-create new service lines using the benefits of Collabs like this…to start redesigning and rethinking the way that we deliver legal services.”
The Collab will bring together lawyers, clients, data specialists, designers, students and other specialists across a diverse spectrum of age, experience and expertise to address changing client needs, new industry dynamics and the broader role of digitization across the economy.
The launch also featured personal video addresses from Ontario Premiere Kathleen Wynne and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, congratulating the Firm on pioneering this ground-breaking initiative.
Keynote speaker – author, information designer and data artist, Giorgia Lupi – spoke on the future of data and how data visualization helps to humanize the information being presented, allowing us to form a stronger emotional connection to it.
